Caught up in the beauty of the moon,
Mesmerised by the twinkling of the stars,
Somehow the darkness that they disguise
Was missed by my sight.
But now as the night is haunted
By the deadly echoes of the lonely cloud,
The darkness has risen to the power
The facades have fallen; truth stands naked.
At the dawn of this enlightenment,
I see the dusk of my hope.
And the things that once gave peace,
Have somehow started a war in me.
